Anthony Rants

I decided to give Guild Wars a try. You can find a trial here. It has pretty neat graphics and interesting gameplay, but its easy to see where it would become repeatitive. I doubt I'll be buying it.

Last night we had the misfortunte of quite a few blackouts. After the power came back on, Anna & I drove to the store to pick up a few things and returned to find that we were operating at only half capacity. I had never seen this before, but apparently we were only recieving half the current through the line. Our incandescent lights would only turn on to about half brightness and electronic devices would not turn on at all. The electricity would pulse to full current every few minutes (you could tell because the A/C would kick on), followed by the drop back down to half current again. It was a very strange experience and it made for a pretty boring evening given most of my recent hobbies revolve around DirecTV or my computer.

My latest toy acquisition is the 24" Widescreen flatpanel from Dell. I'll post some pictures if it ever is truly acquired.

The new default theme for my blog is the Coke theme. You can still change the theme manually, eventually I will make it possible to associate a theme with a username (and subsequently store username stuff via a cookie to avoid relogging in).
