Disappointed because I forgot something

Had fun in Columbia, it was fun to hang out again even if we didn't get to spend as much time at FlatBranch as I had originally wanted. McNally's was still fun, and Friday was fun too.

I am a little disappointed with myself because I forgot the 1/focal-length rule. The 1/focal-length rule is that to counter camera shake and motion, you generally need to have a shutter speed that fast. So this weekend I should have been shooting at least 1/50, but a good portion of my shots were 1/30 or so introducing some blur. Live and learn, practice makes perfect, and all that jazz. Matt's new camera is pretty neat, the built-in image stabilization is especially neat. Not much else going on, the trip home was uneventful and long. Here's to hoping that next time someone comes out this way instead :-)
