Yes, its true, as reported earlier on theJebus.com, Anna & I are playing Everquest II again! It also finally gave me a reason to upgrade my old graphics card. I was trying to remember the last time I upgraded anything in my computer, and then I remembered this post. Hopefully its nothing like that this time. I am assembling the parts now, I may post again when its all together and give more of the juicy details.
Anna, Becca (Anna's sister) and I went to Chicago this weekend. We went with the intention of seeing the King Tut exhibition at the Field Museum, but unbeknownst to us, it was sold out. So instead, we took a look at the some of the other new exhibits there, and then visited Shedd Aquarium. It was probably the third or fourth time Anna and I had been to both places (previous visits were actually dates back when Chicago was a convenient place for us to meet between our respective states). It was the firstime I had seen the dolphin show in the Oceanarium, and it was really exciting. I took some decent snapshots of it as well and will post them soon.
And, if life for my parents could not possibly get any worse. Raeanne (my sister) was served with custody papers this weekend. I am guessing the coincidence of Father's day being the time to get the papers was no coincidence at all. I feel bad for my sister, but I also feel somewhat ambivalent about the entire thing. Its all such a mess, I just hope they can get it resolved and do what is best for Noah. Anna is busy using her new Law Superpowers to gather all the material she can to help Raeanne prepare.
I haven't talked about work for awhile, so I will attempt to give a short summary: Old boss out a couple of months ago, two interim bosses from our department in. Promises of advancement from old boss: gone. Old boss giving my performance eval tomorrow morning. It should make for an interesting time. A couple of evenings ago, I was sitting here pondering what to blog about, and I dug into the archives of AnthonyRants, just to see what sort of issues and complaints I was having with my job in say June 2004 and I have come to the conclusion that my new job is not anywhere near as bad as that ... yet :-p
