Popcorn Lung

Lots of people scoff when they hear we don't have a microwave at our house... it seems odd, but after you live without one for a year or so, you find that you really don't need one. That inevitably leads people to ask, "But what about popcorn?" Well, we use an air popper, of course the conversation concludes with a good amount of guffawing on their part and comments about lacking that extra buttery goodness that microwave popcorn has. (We actually prefer to just melt some real butter and drizzle the air-popped corn with it, but that is probably beyond the scope of this rant :) )
Well my friends, it appears that Anna and I will have the last laugh this time: popcorn butter causes disease.

We don't even have an air popper. Olive oil in a frying pan makes tasty popcorn. Melt butter over the top and you've got a tasty snack.
